After work river trip (pic)

I got off work in time to hit the river for about an hour this afternoon and ended up catching about a dozen or so of these little critters. This was about the biggest one. The rest were about 8" or so. He might be 10". I know it was fun going and I'm gonna have to go back ASAP when I get a little more time.

Not far from Bethpage bridge going back towards the dam just hitting every deep hole I came to. I went back a couple days ago and they were letting water out of woods so the current was making it hard to fish my light tackle, but I ended up catching 6 or 7 anyway. The white bass and rockfish are starting to move up though. Lots of people lining the banks down there in the middle of the afternoon. I bet around dark they'll be shoulder to shoulder...
