aedc help

My pops and I got drawn on the nov 28-30 hunt. we hunted aedc about 12 yrs ago and really didn't do any good at all. Would love to have some success this year so any and all help from yall that have experience with the area would be greatly apprecitated.

I got disgusted with the low deer numbers up there several years ago and quit going. Sure there are a handful of good bucks killed every year but a dozen bucks spread amongst 2000 or more hunters is the same thing as saying you don't have a chance. It's just a shame that they won't stop shooting does and let the numbers get back up - it used to be crawling with deer.

I got the same hunt. There are pretty good numbers in some areas of aedc. I like to hunt fringe areas where hardwoods meet good cover. When the army arrives Friday morning the deer are heading for cover. I suggest a scouting trip during the bow season!

Does anyone know if the Dec 5-7 hunt is just shotgun or is it shotgun/ML? This is the first draw I've ever got.

You can use either shotgun or ML.

Lots of deer on AEDC. Last time I hunted there (year before last), I hunted a total 2-3 hours, killed 2 big does, passed on a couple small bucks, and saw a ton of deer. Get away from the road is all I can tell you. If I am not out of town working I will be there the same weekend.
