I been laid up all year with back trouble and haven't made it to our hunting land since winter. I don't think I'll get to do any fall plots this year either. I am not even sure how much I'll get to hunt but I am curious how well the acorns and other native food sources have done this year in general. I am located in southern Lincoln country.

So far in Hardeman and Fayette counties I'm not seeing anything in the way of white oaks and not a lot of red oaks. Still hoping to stumble across a couple that might have some.

I commented on another thread that I was not seeing acorns in Rutherford county, and I wasn't, but when i was out on my land last Friday, I did some more looking. My post oaks and white oaks have acorns, but my reds are spotty at best.

I haven't been around Lincoln but have noticed some acorns this year, looks like it should be a good year, not a bumper crop but not dead either

In Fayette, I have found a good white and red production on public land. My place is having good red but white seems below average.

Just got back from the woods, the red oaks are dropping already and about half of my chinkapins are loaded

In my area, Lewis and Perry county, the acorn crop is hit or miss. Some trees are loaded while others are empty.

There's probably four time as many on the ground around my house today as compared to yesterday. That line of storms that came through yesterday afternoon sure caused a lot to fall.

Both species seem to be loaded here in East TN, haven't been on a tract yet that isn't loaded with all types of acorns. Excess already falling here and there. Same for fruit trees, loaded here.

I am west of you in LAWRENCE AND WAYNE COUNTIES.................AND WE HAVE AN EXCELLENT WHITE OAK , CHESTNUT OAK AND HICKORY NUTS FOR THIS YEAR.
