You may be talking about KY or another state where bait is legal, but be advised that Acorn Rage is bait in TN and would be illegal to hunt around. The site is considered baited for 10 days after the last of the bait is gone.

I put some acorn rage out last week with a trail cam over it to see what's in the area (I only rifle hunt). I plan on checking cam this week, I'll let ya know how soon they showed up, if at all...lol

x2.

i dumped some buck jam over corn on a new farm i bought for trail camera purposes.I am hoping the sweet smell will help them find the corn faster. this farm will only be rifle hunted, BTW

Why does everyone try and be the law on here? The guy simply ask how long does it take for deer to find it, not the baiting laws. Every time i post something there is always a person that qoutes laws and such.

Just my guess, but probably because scn IS the law - he is the law enforcement division chief for TWRA (correct me if I am wrong on your title Steve).

It's cheaper to go to tractor supply and buy a fifty pound bad of crushed sugar beets. 13 bucks. . . . . .

Crushed sugar beets huh? That sounds like a good idea. Is that considered bait scn? Im guessing so. I would definitely think that would draw them in though. Im going to use that next year. I already make my own batch of mineral mix with bags from the co op. Definitely a good way to go, and economical too!

There are some folks on here that know the laws but choose to violate them anyway. No problem, they can deal with it if they get caught.

But, there are some others that don't know any better. I prefer to give them a heads up rather than have them educated in the court system as ignorance of the law is not a legal defense in TN.

I'll try my best to remember that you don't want to be educated.

I poured Acorn Rage in the hollow of a stump in the early spring of last year. The deer demollished the stump & made a 20in wide by 4in deep hole where the stump was. The day I found it was when I decided to buy my 1st trail cam. I left the spot alone for 2wks before I checked on it, so I dont know how long it took for them to find it.

I put a bag of powdered acorn rage and about 200 yards away, I put out the sugar beet crush last Wednesday. I went out today (one week later) to check on both sites. The Sugar beet crush was nearly completely gone...the acorn rage was still about 3/4's still there. I will add that there's acorns all over that area right now...so, there's my scientific (or lack there of) results...lol

Good Luck
