I see it's time I go to the forest and put out some cams. At least the bucks are at a state in antler growth. That you should be able to tell one from the other. And how big the rack will be later. Do you hunt this saddle also. Later in the season. ?

I'm planning on it. I want to scout it out some more but this saddle has rubs from last year and the year before.Thats my number 1 thing I want to see in a terrain feature. It's definitely worth a few sits. Will probably scout it out more after this coming season.
I have another saddle on another mountain I focused on last winter. I scouted it out real good and have high confidence of an encounter with a mature buck opening weekend. Ill just have to wait and see.

I love hunting saddles just before the rut explodes. You never know when a doe-starved buck will wander through while he's seeking receptive does.
