This is a pretty insightful mini documentary about pronghorn, trappers point, wildlife crossings and the highway department.

Cliff notes is that archeologists discovered a 8,000 year old antelope butchering site with several other centuries of processing in this 1mile by 1 mile section of a Wyoming wildlife migration corridor.

Recently I drove by this with @hunter0925 on our way back from a scouting trip. The wildlife over pass was pretty impressive but I didn't realize the historical significance at the time.

Just think, animals have been migrating through this spot for at least 8,000 years and humans have been hunting and eating them for just as long. Preservation of these lands is beyond critical, it's part of our history and future.

I'll have to watch that…..but where was my scouting trip invite. I at least was flying over your general area last week and could have parachuted out.
Dang it, you could have taken some birds eye pictures for us!

That explains the picture you sent me of your new hunting spot.

He could have dropped us a line and gotten us off that scree field at least! He is skinnier than you and I so I'm betting that grizz would have taken us over him if he was with us though.

I was having my own troubles getting out myself last week lol. Figured I'd take the "shortcut" down to this lake to fish….mistake as I was sliding the whole way straight down. Getting back out was fun but the bonus….i didn't have to worry about getting out before dark since there's no "dark" this time of the year.

I would love to do that sometime.

Short flight from that side of the country. If you ever make it to Fairbanks, Alaska. Holler at me, my boys brother is stationed at Ft Wainwright. He'll be more than happy to take you to some remote fishing locations.
I doubt if I make it up there but I will definitely get in touch if I do.

Cool video that I saw yesterday. Interesting how it was mutually beneficial to man and wildlife to build the crossings

Big question for @Hduke86 … what did you catch?
Whole bunch of trout and beautiful arctic grayling in some of the most gorgeous rivers I've ever stepped foot in.

Thanks for the video, super interesting and will have to drop by there in September on the way to the in-laws.
If you go through Pinedale and need a burger and Huckleberry lemonade, Dave's Last Stand is your joint. Greasy burger and a older heavy set lady who loves Victoria Secret underwear, ask @hunter0925 about it🤣

Oh well then, now you've peaked my interest. We will definitely swing through there now on the way in. Bit out of the way but greasy burgers from a large Victoria Secret clad big girl definitely reels me in. 👊🏼
