6.5x47 123 Scenar ladder test

I had 39.8 40 40.2 40.4 and 40.6 loaded but I will be happy at 39.4 if it will cut bullet holes at 300 yards,,,should be clocking around 3050,,will confirm that and check spreads next time out,,

39.4 averaged over 3100 fps and a couple were kinda sticky bolt lift but extract fine,,5 shot groups at and under an inch but gonna turn it down a little and try and get 3050 with a little smoother bolt,,I am tickled to death with the accuracy but I dont wanna melt it down and the dope at 3050 is plenty good,,heck 2950 would be plenty but it is shooting better cranked up a little,,

gonna move out to 500 this w/e..

Looking at the ladder target drop back to the 38.2 node and chronograph that. Seems I heard the accuracy nodes are about 130 fps apart. 3100 less 130 equal 2970. Perfect!

If you have any spare coins after all you have had to buy, be watching for availability for the 130 Berger VLD. I hear they are shipping. RL15 is also shipping!

will do,,,man this thing is fast,,2950-2970 would be what I was figuring my dope on to compare the 123 and 140 gr bullets,,an accurate easy shootin load at 2970 would be real good and easy on brass and barrels,,3100++ with less than 40 grs powder is unreal in my mind at least with bullets over .525 BC
