Anyone with experience with this round & deer hunting please chime in with opinions. I've read mixed opinions on it being enough for deer. Looking at the ballistics data says its more than adequate but i wanted some real world experience. My shots will be out to 300 maybe a touch further in a few places. Thanks in advance.

It's basically a Creedmoor without the knockdown... I've never shot the caliber but it would not be my first choice for deer hunting.

In factory ammo it's only 300+/- fps slower than a 6.5CM with 120gr bullet and will fit in an AR. It will have no problem killing a deer out to a few hundred yards. Here is a good article comparing the two https://www.wideners.com/blog/6-5-creed ... 5-grendel/
I've seen a ton of hogs killed with a grendel. All shot within 100 yards though at night so I can't comment on longer range. My next AR will be 6.5 grendel.

I built a ar this year in 6.5 Grendel after a ton of research. It s just a bit higher to shoot than a 223 but if a 223 will kill deer a Grendel should be better. I can't wait to try it out. I shouldn't have comment because I don't have deer killing experience but I wanted to let you know all I researched said there like Kellogg's there great.
