To anyone using Accurate 5744 in your Savage what kinda velocitie are you getting? Im shooting 44 grains with .452 250 gr. xtp and the black MMP sabot. Recently been hearing the 5744 isnot a good choice but it shot fairly good for me. Bought up two pound when i got the gun so id like to know its a good powder choice i guess.

There is nothing wrong with 5744. There are better choices if you want speed, but if 5744 works for you, then that is all that matters.

Speed with 44 gr should be right around 2,250 fps.
