got this one saturday morning, he only gobbled once in the tree, i heard him fly down and saw him land in the field about 200yds away, 4 hens also got with him and there was nothing much i could do except watch and try to figure out where they were going ( which was not going to be in my direction ). they started to go back in a hollow where there was a pond so i decided to go around in a hurry to beat them there. i sat in the edge of the small opening that surrounded the pond and sure enough here they come. no calling was needed, they were coming there anyways so let them get about 20yds and let him have it. 18lbs, 9.25 beard and 7/8 spurs
