I hit 40 last January. Loving every second of it, but I am definitely beginning to notice years moving faster than they once did.

I can't believe this is my 43rd yr of hunting. I started hunting when I was five yrs old. My dad started letting me hunt by myself at 8 yrs old. I sure do miss the old style of brown its down and the celebration afterwards. If you killed a 1.5 yr old 4 ptr it was like killing a B&C buck! It was contagious and fun. If I was a young'un getting into hunting; I would be disappointed. The environment isn't accepting of killing small bucks. I hate to hear folks shame someone for killing a small buck. IMO, if it makes you smile and happy it does me too.
