[30-06 type of guy]

It's been a looong week tryna tag out before my vacation was up. From rifle opener up until thanksgiving i couldn't find a deer worth shooting or I was in the middle of all the shooting. I found some fresh sign in one spot and hunted it from Monday morning - thanksgiving morning and ended up whiffing on a buck thanksgiving morning. Quota hunt started Friday and only saw 4 does 3 bucks. Saturday ended up seeing 12ish but no shooter. This morning was looking like a big goose egg til the rain kicked in and kinda gave me some hope for movement. Once the rain finished this guy snuck in behind me but gave himself away at about 50. 3.5 yr old 8 point. Wish I had a couple more days with this weather coming in but 3 bucks in 2 weeks I guess is pretty good for public.
