My son had 3 aau basketball games in smyrna this morn so he couldnt hunt this morn. Got home this afternoon and we could see a couple strutting in one of the internal crop fields. Crow called when i got out of truck and strutters never gobbled but another group did a field over. He got ready and dropped down by the barn, snuck to the cemetery and got between the 2 groups. Ended up being 8 toms between the 2 groups, 4 jakes and oddly only 2 hens in the field. 30 yards- stoeger 3020 (20gauge) and a load of federal 3rd degree TSS mix (awesome shells). 22 pounds, 9.5 beard and 1" spurs. There were better birds in the field but he was the dominant bird.
