Does anybody use these? I am looking into getting a TARGETMASTER brand just to have. I do not shoot my AR regularly. It probably has not been shot in 3yrs or so. I was just thinking of one of these in case the kids want to shot it when they get a little older. I have a Bushmaster AR. I can get one of these pretty reasonable with 2 black dog magazines. Anybody got any info on them and would it be a good investment for the AR? Thanks Bubba G

Just a question as I don't know much about AR's,but Are the conversions cheaper and or better than getting one the AR' 22 rimfires?

The conversion from targetmaster from what I can tell is a drop in unit that installs in just a couple minutes, therefore you can take them in and out relatively easy. I can get this one with 2 magazines for less than $150 to my door. I was just wandering if it would be worth it?

I have a question about the conversions myself. If you sight in a scope with the .223. Does the 22lr still hold the same zero out to 50 yards, give or take? My DPMS would make an awesome squirrel gun...lol

I have a conversion kit for my AR-15 so I'll answer what I can.

1. They are fun to shoot because there is no recoil and they are cheap to shoot.

2. I like the kit over the AR-22 because the AR-22's are plastic and cheap feeling to me.

3. The price you are looking at is very fair.

4. They do not hold the same zero at 50 yards. In my gun it shoots about 6 inches low at 50.

5. I was told by my gun smith friend that the gas tube on a standard AR-15 would get filled with lead deposites and cause major damage to the gun in the long run but hey they make them every day so they must not be to bad.

6. My cousin has a laser and a scope on his and keeps the laser sighted in at 25 yards with the kit and his scope with .223 at 50 yards.

7. They are super easy to install.
