i just bought a new .223 rem 700 sps varmint and i am planning on up grading it. so i was just wondering if anyone on here has shot the BSA Sweet 223 or any of the Barska scopes? if so, do you like them? and also has anyone used swfa.com or opiticsplanet.com? how is their customer service and are the scopes seconds or refurbs? any help or suggestions would be much help.

Bsa is a good scope for a low recoil gun.. I've never looked at the Barsksa.

The cheaper Nikon's would be a good choice, or if your gonna be dawg hunting with it, looking into the Nikko Sterlings.

Just get a redfield 4X12 scope and put it on the 223 as that is about all the power you can use with that round. A 22/250 or a 220 Swift would be longer range but with the 223 a 3X9 or 4X12 will be enough.
I tried my Model 40X Remington 222 Remington magnum rifle on a crow at 390 yards once . The rifle was sighted in at 200 yards too , but the bullet fell short at that range. I had to get out my Winchester model 70 in 220 Swift to reach that crow way out there. The 220 Swift had a Unertal 15 power ultra varmiter scope on it as that was what one used on a serious rifle back in the day, [ 1960-1978 ] it was the ultament varment scope in the good old days. The scope White Feather use on his model 70 was a Unertal.
