2016 Turkey Season Forecast

I'll start it. For the last several days, I've seen turkeys everywhere and all are still in flocks. Hopefully they'll be breaking anytime now because of this warm weather. Numbers seem to be very high this year. Lookin to be a great season :super:

Numbers seem to be one of the highest for awhile.

On my farm numbers certainly appear to be healthier than in the recent past. Managing some timber last week I saw whole hillsides raked up, feathers, poo, and tracks like I haven't seen in some time. Looking forward to a stellar spring.

I think it won't be a cold start like last year. I hope they will gobble better than they did last year too.

Gobbled good here this morning. Pretty sure I could have made it happen if we could hunt. Dang this late season. Don't like it at all

They absolutely tore it up this morning. A few stray birds were alone from the flock. Most gobbles I have ever heard

They're busting up where I hunt. Saw a strutter with about 20 hens Friday. The group of 7 long beards I had been watching is down to 3.

Starting to see some busting up, still have yet to see a strutter though. I leave for Alabama today though so all is well!

Depends on how high the big river gets. Still a good ways from it, and it can fall very fast. Anything around the Hatchie is toast right now. More water than I have seen there in awhile. The MS River is setting at 26 right now. That's not good for Chickasaw NWR, but like I mentioned. It can fall very fast.
