Do any of the outboard motor manufacturers still make a 2 stroke motor ?
Brand new 2 strokes? If so, I wasn't aware of this.Dbllunger":29a5pwdj said:Yamaha does in all sizes. What size are you looking for?
Here is a link I found. It seems like they can be had unless I'm missing something.Andy S.":370qqb4q said:Brand new 2 strokes? If so, I wasn't aware of this.Dbllunger":370qqb4q said:Yamaha does in all sizes. What size are you looking for?
Ok weird. I just called a dealer and he said they don't make them anymore. I stand corrected?Dbllunger":11e3osii said:Here is a link I found. Exactly. And the FEW I know that have the 2-stroke ETEC motors (50hp or so), they have all had some issues with them. I would call several boat mechanics and get their opinion on them before I spent any coin. Better yet, go 4 stroke Yamaha and never look back.lothar":1kl2dfai said:From what I understand, Evinrude is the only manufacturer that can get the emissions to a permissible level. All others had to go to 4 stroke.
