Hmmmmmm...this buck seems "top heavy" to me...I find to much lacking in the hams and stomach to guess him at 4.5. I am going to lean towards 3.5yo on this deer

I've see 2 1/2-yr-old TN bucks every year that will outscore this buck's rack,
and have scored some in the 130's and one in the 140's (again, in TN).

2 1/2's have been known to make B&C in neighboring KY,
and I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the P&Y bucks taken in KY might be only 2 1/2 years old.
(KY bucks will average a little more antler at 2 1/2 than TN bucks.)

Generally speaking, ignore the antlers when aging :)
 
I think you are correct. 2.5 with good genetics and potential. Arched back, short body, no muscle definition looks like a short narrow nose... I think 2.5 off with a good start

Just my opinion ;)
