Barnes 250g expander sabot-on the advice of good ol' stretch
150g 777 pellets.

Only had time to zero it, but it happened in 3 shots. Looks like it's going to shoot fine with the 3 pellets! I wasn't kinda having my doubts going into it.

I'll know more in a few days, as my buddy is taking it back to the range for some more practice. I'll put the 209 in Friday.

If it groups like it looks like, this should be very deadly. There are BIG hogs where he's hunting. I'd like to see what it would do on a 350lb pig!
 
I like the 250 gr. with 110 loose 777 for deer. For hogs, I'd probably step up to the 300 gr. versions. That or just load up a fat 410 gr. flat point conical. 8^)
 
i tell ya, those 150 gr. loads are just wasting alot of powder. you are blowing 20-30gr. of UNBURNED powder out the muzzle unless you have a looooooong barrel.
