while looking for some turkey sign and not finding much, I stopped at a small gravel bar in a creek and started looking. Literally only 10-15 minutes of looking. The arrow head was sitting in plain sight on top of the mud, not even partially buried. Lots of coral and indian money too. Worth stopping to look!

What is considered indian money ?? never heard of it.
just a name for crinoid stems... some type of sea plant I think. Not used as actual currency as far as I know.

this is something that really interests me, very cool stuff. do you just kick around gravel banks or is there something you look for?

I look for anything other than an ordinary stone... just get on my knees and look carefully, pick stuff up if I'm not sure what is. Lots of coral around the duck and harpeth rivers where I've looked.

Also I don't look very often. The arrowhead was a lucky find. I look for them once in a while.
