channel 5 is predicting a low of -13 which is the coldest temp I have ever heard of here. what effect do you think it will have on these worn down post rut deer, especially since our ground is covered in hard ice.

That's what always caused us the greatest concern with cattle. Dry they can handle any cold Tennessee winter's might throw at them, but when you get freezing rain it is tough. Doubt it will kill any though. At least with cattle the only ones we ever lost during this kind of weather was if we had a new calf - say less than a week old.
