Well for the last two days I have sat at work checking TNdeer and living vicariously through the lucky ones that are in the woods. well tonight i got off work and headed out. I get driving down the road and i get into Arrington and i have to decide to turn right and head down towards Arrington Vineyards and circle back to 840 or go straight on 96 to the stop sign at Triune. I was talking to my wife and she said go Cox rd towards Arrington VIneyards and I said i don;t want to go down there and hit a deer. I stayed straight got about 400-500 yds down the road just before the bridge and i caught movement to my right and seen her coming fast. I said "oh S%$t" and hit the breaks at the same time, just as I got the two words out of my mouth i felt the impact. i was going 55 when i saw her and may have slowed to 52 when i hit her.

There was no where to pull over and the car was still driving so I went up to the neighborhood with the houses that look like castles. i checked the damage and was not happy, but the car was running and the wheel didn; thave anything smashed against it. i went back to see if she was laying on the road, but i think i knocked her back down over the hill. there was nowhere to pull over so i just went to pick up my son at daycare.

$500 deductable and nothing to show for it

that hole is where the headlight used to be. the white tube is the windshield washer fuid resevoir tube. Car still drives fine minus one headlight and turn signal.

Get a police report for your insurance . My wife hit one about 3 weeks ago and we just got it back last friday . $500 down the drain !!!

I couldn't get a police report. i had to go get my son at daycare. didn't have time to sit around and wait for the police.

I believe you can still get a police report. I think you have "x" amount of hours/days to request one. It will definitely help when dealin with the insurance agents.

You can still get one

no you can't i called and they said once you move the vehicle they can't do one, but she said, it won;t be an issue due to the time of the year. Also i told the guy last night i didn;t get one on account of not being able to stop on the road and having to go get my son at daycare and he said it was fine. he said you'll just have to pay your deductable, which would have happened either way.
