12,000 Turkeys in One Week?

Im not certain, but i think tn usually kills around 30,000 annually. A big percentage probably come opening weekend. But 12,000 seems really high, especially as slow as it has been for so msny people.

You think that's a big number, last year there were over 17,000 killed for the same 8 day period. The early spring had things going good when season opened. Tennessee starting off with actually a slow season presumably due to cool weather. Turks still aren't busted up good. I had 7 longbeards at my dekes at one time Wednesday.
