Recoil Pad Suggestions?

After 20+ years (and a bunch of dead turkeys!!), the Remington factory pad on my 870 TKM is showing its age. Was leaning towards a Limbsaver but read several posts about them turning to goo. Al$o con$idering the Falcon $trike, but at $140 vs the $40 Limbsaver, is it really worth the difference?

All the searched posts on here were 10+ years old so hoping to get some more recent info.

Any suggestions?

I believe the Limbsavers have changed the formula and are no longer turning to goo. I have one from the factory on a Remington rifle they replaced for free. If I could buy 3 for the price of one vs the Falcon strike. I'd go that route considering it's just 2 screws.

I like Kick Eez I have both the slip on which comes with extra inserts for more recoil reduction or for LOP adjustments. I also have a couple of the pre-fit pads. Haven't had any issues with mine and they definitely reduce the recoil. But I am sure the limbsavers are good also.

Thanks guys! I'm leaning towards Limbsaver because I have Cabela's bucks burning a hole in my pocket. Plus, I need a few choke tubes for my recently acquired O/U Weatherby. I have enough trouble shooting skeet with improved cylinder so I'd never hit one with the mod and full chokes that came with it.

I mean, I was asking this for a friend... ;) ;) cause slingshot hunting and shooting is what I'm in to. Ammo is cheap, but can be inconsistent.
