Visitor while fishing yesterday

Caught movement out of the corner of my eye and this guy had stopped by to enjoy my fishing skills and get a drink of water.
Pretty neat !
He drank for quite a while and in between catching a couple fish I looked up and he was gone.
Wasn't 15 yards away and he never made a sound when he flew off.
Amazing creatures.

They are gorgeous birds! I always enjoy when I can watch them.

Cool. I have a few that live around me at Rock Island that I see every few weeks. Barred owl?

Barred owls love crawdads.

They will attack a buzz bait! Just sayin…

Pretty cool.
Their wings have specially adapted feathers, that muffle any sound of the wind on them.
