Once deer and duck seasons are over, I'll be ready to fish, but it'll be too cold for at least another month after we finish picking up decoys, moving blinds, and then me cleaning all my hunting gear out of my truck(which will make my wife happy. Don't know why it being in my truck from September until February bothers her so much.)

I just wish they could even out the dam schedules. One day they are pulling 23K CFS and the water is up in the trees, the next day they are pulling 3k and its one giant beach. The next day they are back up near 18K. Typically good fishing is with 1-2 generators pulling 6-12K.

Think I've got one more duck hunt left. After that I'll still enjoy a cool morning (especially for turkey season opener), but also highs in the 60s-70s.

Now's the time to not be wimpy and fish! Me and a friend got these last Wednesday bundled up in 4 layers. 2 limits

Nice fish shopson....I would love to put the knife to a mess of crappie. Ruger I feel the same as you about the wind and the cold. It is just plain hard for me to deal with the wind anymore unless its at least 60°.

16 this morning. Cancelled my fishing trip. Im just not that mad at a fish to be breaking ice out of my guides.

I'm definitely ready for spring. Been spending the past few weeks organizing tackle, working on the boat, etc.

I've still been fishing a little, but it's been slow.

Last time I went was January 8th.
Caught several but that was the last day that the weather has been anywhere near tolerable.
Had snow on the ramp when we put in but it was gone by the time we left. :D

I am also ready for spring, but I am also grateful for any day in any month that the Good Lord gives me. As one ages, you realize just how precious everyday on this earth can be.
