Looks rough here! Like Ren said every weekend is for my son if he wants it so I don't know about this one. You never know if the forecast will change a few hours from now are not so we will just keep an eye on it.

We were going to head north a County tomorrow because ours is closed for two more weeks but it looks like we will have to wait until Sunday to hunt. As of now the weather showed it should be clearing out around daylight Sunday morning where we are going.

This storm is bad. It's been nothing but loud cracking, a strobe light of lightning and hail the size of marbles for over 3 hours here in west Nashville. Supposed to go atleast another hour. Hope everyone keeps their kids out of this, even if they want to go and "be tough". Way too much lightning

I got up early just to see if maybe we could get one good hour of hunting in before the storms got here. But no, it was here even at first light. So called it off. No way I want to walk around during lightning.

We got on some at daylight but the storms sent us packing back to the truck. He got to.hunt a little while and we got several weeks ahead of us! All is good, stay safe!

Had a rough day dodging the weather, my son enjoyed the chase though!
birds were still flocked up, couldn't get the group within 100 yards of us , had about 30 spread out in a very large field, a few jakes acted like they wanted to get close but never did. Made some yelps on a diaphragm and made about 10 gobblers sound off. My son was tickled to death! He couldn't believe it and neither could I!
Hoping he gets his first tomorrow morning before I get my first gobbler!
He crawled through the mud with me and never complained or gave up, he is 7 yo...
Lightening started to get closer so we headed home, didn't get a chance to see exactly where they roosted but couldn't be far, wish us luck!

TELL ME ABOUT IT. my blind is a mud mess and Mother Nature won't let up on the rain. Got a break in the storms and went for a couple of hours. Got in late this morning because I stayed up late. But I'm out here and Mother Nature shows no signs of stopping the rain. Little brother is on em but big brother is not

It's cleared up here (southern middle tn) and I've been on the porch drinking coffee listening to turkeys gobble all morning. It's probably the same couple birds, but I've heard hundreds of gobbles. That storm must have flipped a switch in them. I sure hope some kids made it out to kill a few.
