Well, today was my opener and it didn't disappoint! Heard this guy on the limb as well as 3 or 4 others. Decided he was the one I was gonna go after. Got within 200 yards of him and didn't feel comfortable pushing towards him anymore so I set up on a little knob. He closed the distance pretty fast and I went silent on him. After 10 minutes of the silent treatment he was double gobbling then next thing I hear him sprinting up to me. Got to 20 yards and the .410 put him down!

Thanks, it was a fun hunt. Love the moment when you know they are coming but don't know where then all of a sudden you hear the spitting and drumming. Then full on sprint to 20 yards lol heart was thumping good!

Suicidal birds are fun, esp after being whipped by a tough one a few days in a row. Remember these words midway through the season :)
