This pic was pre-puberty, pre-beard :smash:

HAHAHAHA...

wait... I can't laugh at that. I can't grow a beard!

Still... I wouldn't take that from him catman!
big A looks 14 years old if he shaves his beard. He's pretty much got to keep it there.

One of my most memorable by far... Took my cousin for his first successful turkey hunt. Needless to say after bellycrawling in a drainage ditch for 200 yards to make a move on this stubborn sucker he was hooked for life when the smoke cleared!

Was walking down a ridge road on some public land in Missouri when a local drove up to me on his UTV. We talked, I told him where I was going. Said he was going there too. So I just walked back to my truck and drove in. Sure enough, he was right where I was planning to listen from. I parked a few yards away from his UTV. I'm not a fan of folks who try to 'claim' spots on public land. If I was the fellow, I would have went somewhere else. But anyways. A few birds started gobbling and we ended up going down different points. Couldn't help but snap this pic on my way out and left him a few feathers.

It's hard to pick just one as 2018 will be hard to ever top for my son and I. We are ready to try even though we have some winter and spring smallmouth to catch first. This kid is a killer in the deer and turkey woods and coming along good with a fishing rod in his hands. I couldn't me more proud.

I am ready to see this again.

You better expect that from a lot of the locals in Missouri. If you park and walk in, there is a good chance a truck will drive past you about daylight and park within 100 yards of the gobbling turkeys. It's a crying shame, but they do not care one iota. Don't ask me how I know this. :bash:

Agreed, but you can bet most of the ones you will encounter do not have that mentality.

Exactly what one will learn to do every time if they hunt Missouri long enough. I had to learn the hard way too.

They do the samething crappie fishing at Sardis. They will pull up almost bumping boat throw an anchor then cast to where you are fishing

One of my favorite pics. In the hills of Jackson county. The morning was still very young and this turkey never gobbled. I knew where he was roosted and I snuck in way before daylight, sat down and waited. I was within 75 yards of him and a bunch of hens. He strutted on the limb, flew down, and met his maker.

Here is 2. I'm officially ready after yesterday. I went and did some budhogging and being out at the lease fired me up.

I love this! I have a similar story. I was hunting Chickasaw Refuge and got in the woods well before daylight. I knew the area the birds liked to roost in. Birds started gobbling really early and I had gone in too far. They were between me and the road. I started going to them and I hear a shot. Well before legal shooting time and flydown. It was still pretty dark. Some clown had shot "my" bird off the limb. Another bird started gobbling so I took off. I get back to my truck around 11 and there are feathers under my wiper blade. I was pissed! Turns out my buddy killed a bird a few miles away and put the feathers under my wiper. I thought it was the limb lifter screwing with me. My buddy didn't tell me otherwise for a couple days! :rotf:
