    Youth hunting clothes

Howdy Y'all. I am looking for some used hunting clothes for my 11 year old son and 9 year old daughter. They are growing like weeds right now and was just wondering if anyone had any old camo to get rid of. I can buy them new camo but I'm sure it would only last one season. My son is a youth...

Tree stands left in the LBL woods

I see it on the KY side too. Covered a lot of ground chasing gobblers last spring and ran across two ladder stands. I don't remember seeing too much trash. I try to pick up what I see as well.

    Deer heart Recipe

As mentioned above, clean it real good until it is thin steak and set aside. Saute some onion, green and jalapeno peppers and mushrooms in a skillet. When they are to your liking, add the heart. cook for just a couple minutes and then add the mixture to a tortilla. Heart tacos anyone?!?!??!

    Shark Steak

I agree with cutting it into 1" filets and smelling it and soaking it if it smells. I have cooked and ate shark many times. Everyone here is dead on. Don't over cook it. The best shark fillets I have had, I soaked them for a day in margarita mix, patted dry with a paper towel, rubbed with olive...

    Blackened Seasoning for Fish

Cajun's Choice Blackened seasoning is the best I have found! After experimenting with many "blackened seasonings" and eating way too much too salty food we finally found Cajuns choice. If you can't find it at your local supermarket, usually back by the butcher, you can order online through many...

    Api climber question

I have that same climber. I have been able to slide my seat back and kneel down on my platform to use the rail as a rest, without being seen. I have also been able to lean forward seated and use the rail for my elbows to rest on. Never tried an actual gun rest though.

Nitride coating vs Stainless steel barrel

I have a Nitride coated CVA wolf. It cleans up easy and hits dead on. The reason I went with the Nitride barrel is it's ability to blend in with the background in the woods. I rarely see the color silver(SS) in the woods. Check out the CVA website. Click on products on the top menu bar. Click on...

    need a deer popper recipe

I made some for Halloween, turned out very tasty. I cut up some back strap into 2"x 1"x 1/2" strips. Laid them out and added salt, pepper and garlic powder. Bought some whole jalapenos and cut them in half lengthwise. Took all the seeds and white membrane out so they wouldn't be too hot for the...

    Jerky Recipe

I use High Mountain Jerky Cure and Seasoning, pepperoni blend. I add crushed peppercorns to it for a little kick. I like the flavor of the meat so I don't go over board on seasonings.

Frozen Head SP - MLK Day Hike

Thanks for taking the time to post. When I lived in Smyrna TN I enjoyed hiking. Did Mt. Leconte several times and hit the cumberland plauteau as much as I could since it was closer for me.
