Lake Erie Walleye

Fished Lake Erie in Ashtabula Ohio last week. Good weather whole time. Fishing was great. First three days caught 12 to 25 walleye each morning to keep a one person limit (6) of 18" to 24" fish. Then go to break wall and a man made underwater fish habitat area to catch smallmouth. Caught 10 to 20 smallmouth up to 17 1/2". Next four days had neighbor and his girlfriend with me. Caught 25 to 35 fish each day to keep three limits of walleye 18" to 26 1/2". Good thing about Ohio's Lake Erie walleye is there is no possession limit. Keep your limit for every day you're there. Walleye have to be at least 15" to keep. Fish fry time, deep fry with Shore Lunch Original breading.

Been fishing Lake Erie for 25 years. Port Clinton, Huron, Vermillion and this is 4th year for Ashtabula. Being retired like to go two or three times a year. Here's some Yellow Perch from Port Clinton and some 7 and 8 pounders from Ashtabula.

Nice fish and pics as well. I grew up in Eastern Ohio. I fished Lake Erie a few times several years ago. I think the fishing is better now.

Awesome! My son is playing in a baseball tournament in Sandusky next June. I was just talking to his coaches about getting a guide for a day for some walleye and smallmouth fishing. Looks like I might have just found my guy. LOL.

It's a tremendous fishery. More fish than ever and many years of good spawns so lots of big fish.

I haven't fished Erie. Fished Lake Ontario for salmon and Lake Michigan for Walleye. Nice catches you have there.

Have fished Lake Michigan for walleye. Little Bay De Noc, Big Bay De Noc and Green Bay. Have fished all the Great Lakes and Lake St Clair except Ontario. Don't know about walleye on Lake Ontario but suppose to be great for trout and salmon.
