Fine for hunting without a license?

Just come to my area. You can do what you want. Poach all you want. Trespass all you want. TWRA or law enforcement won't do anything about it so the fine is 0. You won't need a lease or to buy property just hunt where you want.
That's their new way of 'managing the wildlife' we always hear about.

The tickets here are usually $25-$50 and they come with court costs of $225- so it's about $250 to $275 per ticket.

I'm not sure exactly what determines whether or not they seize equipment and escalate to additional penalties.
These things need to be brought to light so we can figure out what exactly a group of MORONS have broken. It's my understanding that you can shoot an albino 12 pointer at night out of season through the courthouse windows from a public road and they will STILL sell you a hunting fishing license so you can maybe tone things down and still get your taxidermist permits.

Bushape,
I asked and this is what I got,It's between $25-$50 for the state fine. Court cost is around the $300 mark some counties more, some less. If you kill a deer or anything there's a possession of illegally taken game charge. If it's a big game animal there's restitution which can be thousands. There's loss of weapon, hunting privileges and vehicle which are all possible. It can be a lot and the bigger the trophy the more it costs.

Isn't killing or hunting without a license called "POACHING"?! Which in Colorado brings a helluva huge fine plus confiscation and destruction of your firearm.

Im sure Colorado takes that stuff real serious. Im here to tell you there is ZERO fear of TWRA where i live. That's why hunters are just riding around suburban neighborhoods shooting whatever they heck they want. If you host a game warden or turn one of them in for whatever weak fine they ACTUALLY recieve, then you will be vandalized, stolen from or have your dog killed in retaliation. They are basically a domestic terrorist group. The only reason they get a license is for the taxidermist tags. No one in my neighborhood wants hunters around because the vast majority of us have been shot at from the street. Some of my neighbors have been multiple times. This has all started taking place in the last four years. Getting caught without a license is nothing they are really concerned with. You have to catch a good portion of them for weak fines to work and most don't get caught.

I'm sorry, that is a real shame. I despise the Comierado politics, but there are still somethings that are still good here. The consequences here in the mountains for a poacher shooting at a property owner would be very very bad.

The real shame is it's up to the sheriff's department to enforce state laws, when they catch folks shooting from the roads at animals then they hand it off to TWRA to files charges also. TWRA can't patrol all the county roads waiting for somebody to shoot, county police run the roads 24/7 and they are in charge of protecting resident and their property. Folks haven't committed any crimes driving the roads. Not sure why anybody expects 1-2 wardens to work 24/7 when most of their work is off the pavement. all of it right now is in flux due to changes and may take a few years to work itself out.

This is what I find about shooting from a vehicle

I got fined for hunting a baited area, this was on a lease and I was hunting with a crossbow game warden found some corn someone had pour out about 150 yds from my blind, fine was 25.00 when to the courthouse to pay the fine and court cost ran it up to 225.00

That's exactly what they are here too, at the minimum, of course.
