Ridiculous....I could save money by just not buying a license. For the most part, TWRA fines aren't very much for most violations. It's the court costs that's the big rip. A $25 fine could end up @ $150 when all is said and done.

What? Did they post the vid on their channel??Ted on THP got one the other day in MS for just videoing someone… $900!!
That's their new way of 'managing the wildlife' we always hear about.Just come to my area. You can do what you want. Poach all you want. Trespass all you want. TWRA or law enforcement won't do anything about it so the fine is 0. You won't need a lease or to buy property just hunt where you want.

These things need to be brought to light so we can figure out what exactly a group of MORONS have broken. It's my understanding that you can shoot an albino 12 pointer at night out of season through the courthouse windows from a public road and they will STILL sell you a hunting fishing license so you can maybe tone things down and still get your taxidermist permits. The tickets here are usually $25-$50 and they come with court costs of $225- so it's about $250 to $275 per ticket.
I'm not sure exactly what determines whether or not they seize equipment and escalate to additional penalties.
Oh yeah definitely. You broke two laws and your gun will be taking ride as well... plus no deer !!!Does it change if you've actually killed a deer?
Asking for a friend
Better hunt with a cheap gun because it will property of TWRA .Ridiculous....I could save money by just not buying a license.![]()
Im sure Colorado takes that stuff real serious. Im here to tell you there is ZERO fear of TWRA where i live. That's why hunters are just riding around suburban neighborhoods shooting whatever they heck they want. If you host a game warden or turn one of them in for whatever weak fine they ACTUALLY recieve, then you will be vandalized, stolen from or have your dog killed in retaliation. They are basically a domestic terrorist group. The only reason they get a license is for the taxidermist tags. No one in my neighborhood wants hunters around because the vast majority of us have been shot at from the street. Some of my neighbors have been multiple times. This has all started taking place in the last four years. Getting caught without a license is nothing they are really concerned with. You have to catch a good portion of them for weak fines to work and most don't get caught.Isn't killing or hunting without a license called "POACHING"?! Which in Colorado brings a helluva huge fine plus confiscation and destruction of your firearm.
I'm sorry, that is a real shame. I despise the Comierado politics, but there are still somethings that are still good here. The consequences here in the mountains for a poacher shooting at a property owner would be very very bad.Im sure Colorado takes that stuff real serious. That's exactly what they are here too, at the minimum, of course.I got fined for hunting a baited area, this was on a lease and I was hunting with a crossbow game warden found some corn someone had pour out about 150 yds from my blind, fine was 25.00 when to the courthouse to pay the fine and court cost ran it up to 225.00
