Maybe it's my orange shaded glasses, but I think Nico will shred them if the O line has a pulse. And, as awesome as that would be it concerns me that it'll create unrealistic expectations going into next year, much the way the Clemson game did for Joe this year.
I don't think he will shred them. Not for lack of talent. It's the guys first start. I'm sure he will make us shake our head a time or three and he will also give us glimpses how amazing he could potentially be.

In Milton's defense I highly suspect he only opted out once he was told he wouldn't be starting. I could be dead wrong here but I think he would have played given the opportunity.

The only way Milton's draft stock could be effected by playing in this game is a negative. He's had enough exposure to be graded by NFL scouts. Why would he take the chance on being injured?

You must have missed Anthony Richardson from Florida going high in the first round if you think Joe isn't getting drafted off of athletic ability alone. Not saying he's going high in the draft but he will be drafted. Not many experts doubt that
As I said above I understand the injury risk but if you go back over the last 10-15 years and looked at injuries in bowl games how many kids were hurt and it changed their draft status? I don't care enough to try and find that answer and is a rhetorical question. If the book is already out on him, and I agree with you it is, then a good or bad game won't change any NFL team's opinion. I just think they've played 12-13 other games this year so what's one more? To me it's about being part of the team. You started with them and you finish with them. Not saying that's the best way but just my opinion and we know what those are like!

In Tua case. He was a Stud,. Hands down stud. Fragile as hell. I read that CJH had a discussion before his decision. I'm excited to see Nico but have a lot respect for how Milton has handled himself here. He is NOT HH but I think he is a really good man.
I wouldn't have drafted AR as a qb or for that matter Levis because both looked at best pedestrian to me. Especially so for a high first round pick and many millions in guaranteed money like AR got but both have surprised me. Honestly to a lesser extent Hurts has surprised me in the same way but I viewed him as a much better prospect than those two. Do I think Joe is gonna be a great NFL qb? No. Do I think he has a super high ceiling based off of athletic ability. Yes. I know he does and so do NFL execs. He will be drafted and probably higher than most think. I think 3-5th rd. You call it a stupid decision and I think that's a silly assessment. Qb is the hardest position to project. The almost can't miss (if there's such thing) guys like a Peyton manning or Andrew Luck or whoever cost you millions and millions and if you miss it's a huge miss. A flier on a super athletic qb who has had some success in college in the 5th rd is an easy bet to take. Much less investment and much higher reward if you hit. Look at everyone's fav example Tom Brady. Look at Brock Purdy. It's different than taking a db or rb in the 5th who has not played to expectation in college. They project easier and you can find them a whole lot easier than franchise qb's or even passable qb's. To me taking Joe late is almost equal to giving a wr who was decent and has the athletic ability a free agent tryout. That being said I wouldn't draft Joe. He's still not accurate enough and I don't think he's that good at reading defenses and I think heupel had to really scale back his offensive play calling this year to try and help Joe out. Also if that was a bama guy you'd be saying someone is missing out if they don't give him a chance and raving about his ability and how raw a talent he is. No one is fooled or takes your takes seriously
