Where are you guys putting in at Dale Hollow? Never been there and am gonna try to go Saturday or Sunday. Coming out of Gallatin area and thru Celina down 52. Thanks.

Try Lily Dale boat ramp. Take 52 to Oakley Allons rd. At end turn Left and head towards Willow Grove Marina. Take a right at "The Fork" diner and drive to end. Just before the campground turn right. Ramp is at the end. Expect a small fee, payable with a credit card or cash at their machine.

This. If you like smallies fish the point directly across from the ramp in the same cove. Largemouth down the bank on that cove. I've spent hours and hours in that cove. Great spot. On the other side of the lake there is a small island and a grass bed. As you go between the island and the main lake bank be careful. If the water is still down you might get a lil shallow.
Best lake in the state. Have fun!

Not so much. That smallmouth spot is super well known though. No surprise to anyone. Every time you put in there someone is posted up on it. Been that way since I was just a kidGot any booner buck honeyholes you care to share on a public forum?

Home of the world record smallmouth.
Good clean lake with no debris. Grew up on it and have spent entirely too many hours there. There are some hidey holes for sure that I won't share but main lake points, kinda hard to hide.
It's not at the end of the world , but you can see it from there……..
one of the lakes i want to fish someday for shellcrackens.
Wouldn't horse creek or pleasant grove be the closest boat ramps?
Depends. Mitchel creek or sunset would be the closet from Livingston, depending which end you wanted to fish

Of those two choices I'd go with Mitchell but still prefer Lilydale overall
If he is coming from gallatin (west)
I've put in at pleasant grove a couple times, it gets super busy though.
I grew up at sunset, so I'm a bit partial
I ain't been to pleasant grove in 25 years lol. Was a decent place best I remember.

Nope, but did grow up about 3 miles from sunset

Rogers group was taking up the pavement & getting the parking lot ready to re pave at pleasant grove last week. I don't know how far along they are now. I ended up putting in at Mitchell Creek.
But I prefer Lilly Dale. Has a lot better ramp.

I ask because I am from Livingston originally and graduated from there. A few yrs older than you though so we wouldn't have been in school together
I think we've discussed this before lol. Lived in celina for a short time and moved to Livingston, hilham, and finally grew up in Monroe.

I have looked at LillyDale on the GPS and like what I see but it is 30 more minutes than Livingston Dock and Marina so I may put in there. With the crappy weather coming in Friday and Saturday I may not go at all. Thank everyone for their input.
