Fewer trucks in my area than I ever recall, passed 3 driving in, another 3-4 went by while I was walking in, normally a lot busier… I have heard a few shots

I had a six pointer walk by about 9:45am. Must know I drew antlerless tags.

Busted a slicky about 8:15. 15 yard track job. Gotta love it. Been covered up with does all day just looking for some antler.

Weirdest day I have ever experienced. Had deer under me at night. Coyote came by at 7:45. Lone spike at 10:19. Nothing until 5:10 and a deer was blowing. My thermals were getting sucked down in that general area. I heard 2 shots all day!

Lol I refer to any doe as a slicky. This one just so happened to be of the 79 pound variety that liked to hang out too long.

Ended up seeing 15 does. No antlers all day. Oh well. There needs to be a doe slaughter over in the area I was in. Waaaaaaayyyyy too many.

I was half soaked by daylight. Changed my plans to whatever at that point. Shot a 7 pt, climbed down, turned around and here comes a doe with the biggest buck I have ever seen there. Lesson learned I changed from wall hanger to whatever and boom. Maybe I get drawn again next year. I will definitely be in the same area. 3 for 3 there since 2016!

My guess is he's soaked seems they changed the forecast! It burned me. Never again I will have every possible camo on hand in my truck for this hunt!

They aged him at 3.5. I thought he was 2.5 but when you're wet I aged him as deer steaks!
