He's not a giant, but pretty sure he's my biggest. First deer I've seen from the stand this year in four hunts, so I'm grateful for sure no matter. He came exactly where I was hoping, saw him at about 150 yards heading to the saddle I'm in. Walked the exact way I wanted him to. Got my gun up and breathed a heavy breath onto my scope and couldn't see through it one bit, so I had to dig out my undershirt to wipe it off. He had stopped behind the leaves of a little beech tree so I didn't have a clear shot but I could tell he was looking my way. I was worried that what little wind there was was going to swirl so I leaned out a bit and had a perfect quartering to shot. Hit just in front of right shoulder and came out just past fourth rib. He ran maybe 50 yards downhill and away from the the road to pick him up on…long drag out.

Walmart optical usually has individually wrapped anti-fogging wipes and a product that's been around quite a while called "Kat Krap" that's a paste you apply to whatever kind of lenses to let dry and then buff with a micro cloth. Can't say I always remember to actually take such precautions but I try!

Anyhow, it looks like your persistence and confidence in that spot paid off bigtime, so congratulations! Also congratulations on the great shot!
