This is it guys, it is the history of the restocking of Tennessee deer and Jay Langston is the Author. Bought mine many years ago.....2004?..............maybe?.............This is an outstanding book of our whitetail heritage and the restocking of it and the different mixes of deer we have here according to history from the Twra files. Great job by Jay and those he worked with. Contact him on here on this thread and he may still have some copies. he did at last contact with him but that has been a few years!!

I've killed a couple a little larger but this is my largest Tn. Buck. Killed him a couple of years ago during the M/L season.

I found a box of Tennessee Whitetails when I moved to the farm in 2015. Signed copies are available for $30, which includes shipping… while they last.

Thanks for the positive reviews guys.

Yeah still in velvet, Fort Campbell opens a little earlier then the rest of Tennessee. They open the 3rd Saturday of September every year, but they also close a little bit earlier. Last day of hunting is noon on New Years Eve. I scraped a little bit off dragging him out of the woods, I was in a walking boot from a broken ankle due to a bad jump in an airborne operation lol.

Love the buck MUP ^^^ and the Old Timer knife...I lost mine in the woods years ago and have been sick about it ever since...back in the day when they were still made in the USA.

This one belonged to my late Dad, and he had it back in the mid 70's I believe. I've field dressed every deer I've ever killed with it, minus one that I tried a new Buck knife with a gut hook on it, I went back to the Sharpfinger, and especially on this buck, extra special taking that buck on the land where my Dad was raised up hunting as well.
