I have trouble every year with twra app checking in a turkey with spur length. A 1" spur wld be 16/16, so wld a 1.5" spur be 20/16?
You trolling? LolI have trouble every year with twra app checking in a turkey with spur length. A 1" spur wld be 16/16, so wld a 1.5" spur be 20/16?

I highly suspect there is a fair amount of rounding UP when hunters check in turkeys. 3/4" spur recorded as 1", 9" beard recorded as 10", etc.
I'd say you're right. I see a lot of so called 1.5" spurs posted online. A set of true 1.5" spurs are very rare.I'd imagine that the accuracy of the measurables on a bird checked in are less than 10% of all checked in.
I wouldn't doubt it one bit.BTW, you just jinxed your season.
Turkey gods don't take kindly to people counting their poults before they hatch!
Scroll down below the weight section and hit the drop down arrow then select bearded....then the section to enter beard length shows up.I just went in the harvest report section to see what all will be there this year.. the only thing that's measurable is weight and it said its not required.
missed that part.. also when you click on the sex and select male it asks for the spur measurements also.. guess its all there just hidden until you select an optionScroll down below the weight section and hit the drop down arrow then select bearded....then the section to enter beard length shows up.
Agreed. I've only ever killed one and that was last year on my biggest bird ever.I'd say you're right. I see a lot of so called 1.5" spurs posted online. A set of true 1.5" spurs are very rare.
I suspect there is a ton of this going on hahaWe're supposed to check them in?
You don't measure from the front of the leg?I'd say you're right. I see a lot of so called 1.5" spurs posted online. A set of true 1.5" spurs are very rare.
