The one that takes forever to enter the food plots? The one that looks up into trees for you? The one that has busted you on multiple occasions and then warned every deer in the county by blowing like a crazy woman while she runs away? Well, this one will bust me no more. She's taking a ride home from camp in my cooler. :tu:

Got her yesterday in the last 30 minutes of the last doe day in Grundy county.

Congrats! That should relieve the pressure from future hunts in that area... love to take down a big old nanner

I have one I have I been wanting to kill for years now but she seems to always have twin fawns with her with its go time. I just cant pull the trigger.

I know the feeling of frustration when that happens and you're not expecting her to smell you this time and then it happens. Like dang!!!
Been there and also killed her also.

Them old nasty nanners are a tough kill especially in close proximity...IMO just as difficult to kill, if not more so than a buck, due to the fact that there are usually more than one set of eyes with a slick head. A real trophy IMO!!!

So true. An old mature doe is a hard creature to kill. They have seen it all.

Yep, I've got one on my farm as well... Much like AT Hiker though, every time I see her in early season she has fawns. Last year I had her 15 yards broadside, but she actually had triplets. I couldn't do it, and it seems later on in the season I never see much of her, but she can't be far because I see yearlings and fawns on the regular.

In comparison to what bucks I have killed in all my time, the best year I ever had was several years ago (killed several on doe culling hunts in KY, after the first weekend the momma does became almost impossible to find, some on private land in Tennessee and some on public land in Tennessee and 16 of them were with a bow that year) I killed 32 or 33 mature does in one season.

No little ones, all mature mommas. Trust me, the momma does can be hard to kill.

I would kill that momma doe as soon as I could unless you have an extreme shortage of deer. Killing momma does is one of the best things you can do for you hunting area, so long your deer population is healthy.

I have one like that. Always spots me in the tree and has both fawns with her all season long.

If you stop and think about it a buck only has to defend for himself. An old doe with fawns (and sometimes past family members ) has to be watchful for the entire group. They are plenty slick.

Exactly!!

Congrats. I had one on a lease years ago that would blow at me every morning I hunted this one stand. Eventually one morning she blew too long. Daylight came and the muzzle loader ended her spree.
Glad you got her.

Congrats! Nothing like killing that ole blowing doe. I shot one between the eyes once. She ruined to many days hunting. She blew about 20 times one cold morning. I could see here breath when she blew in the thicker. I finally saw two eyes and a black nose in my scope. She dressed a little over 100 lbs.

Killed one that had been doing all the same to me for years. I hollered in excitement when I dropped her. She costed me a many hours in the stand blowing for sometimes half an hour. I regret not mounting her so take her at least and have her skull bleached out.

Good job! Me and my hunting buddy have been at war with one of those for years. They can be harder to kill than any buck.

Just had a big mature doe bust me yesterday afternoon. It's about the third time she has caught me. She has a BIG target on her back!
