Been reading allot about YOBUCK and seeing some great trail cam pics using it. Is YOBUCK an all natural product or does it have ingredients mixed in with salt that would make it an attractant and illegal to hunt over?

I don't know anything about the product… But it seems to all be tied in to the west Tennessee hunting Facebook page and the MGH hunting club and a Cody guy who films videos and somebody named Anthony.

You can go on their site and ask questions. I think it has to be like 51% natural minerals to NOT be considered an attractant in TN, but I would ask the TWRA and find out. Then just ask the guy if it is more that XX% natural minerals and see what he says. If it is not you know not to hunt over it.

Seems you are correct...

"It is legal to feed deer but not to bait deer from 10 days prior to season start through hunting season. However a salt or mineral lick is legal to use if it is at least 51% salt and has no grain products."

Here is the extended answer from SCN in the TWRA section

If you use that and ask if the stuff has any of that stuff or falls into that category, you should be able to determine whether you can hunt over it.

I've seen a lot of posts about it on Facebook but I have no idea what's in it. I only use Redmond salt for my few salt licks because it's cheap at Co-op and that's all I really care to use.

It they aren't willing to give you a list of the ingredients, I'd suspect that they know it is illegal in TN.

If it has any of the ground up grain such as rice bran, ground corn, etc., it would be considered bait in TN.

So it has to be at least 51% mineral, or it's bait, and it must contain NO grain or non-refined food-type product. What non-mineral, non-food product attractant is there that could make up the other 49%? Would snakeoil be legal?

I think snakeoil is a common ingredient in some of those.

Just read on West Tennessee Deerhunters Facebook page where 2 different TWRA Wildlife Officers said that YoBuck is legal to hunt over.

Post up a link if you can. I am not that familiar with FB or that particular group.
