Just had to share with my fellow western lovers...Killed this bull last week in Wyoming during rifle season. Lots of meat to feed my family and a nice coat rake for a bonus..... :D

Beautiful animal ! Guided, trespass fee, private land or public land hunt ?

i leave out in the am headed to CO for 2nd season rifle .. 8k acres of private land with only me & two other hunters !

They were still bugle in early in morning. Saw lots of bulls and some even better. Many were broken up.
Passed on a younger 325 bull's earlier in hunt. Just wanted something with alot of mass and some age.
This was a private land hunt with outfitter. It was a 40th birthday present. Good area with low tag numbers. Drawing takes 4 to 6 years. But it gives yu time to save money.

Im at 5 or 6 points, I keep applying for unit 45 but it is max points now. I really want to do a horse back trip into the Cloud Peak Wilderness.
Congrats again!

I was originally applying with 7 or 45 in mind. But stumbled across this. It's low elevation hunt at 5 to 7 thousand feet at base of tisdale mountains. So basically at foothills of bighorns.
We had elk and antelope in same pastures. It's not a scenic high Country hunt. But a hunt with great folks and a almost 100% chance to kill a nice quality bull. The hardest part is saving the money and applying for points.
Hunting elk as they come off hay meadows and cross powder river going back up to high country.

Awesome elk. Ive been researching elk hunts and Triple Three is on my short list if I go outfitted. However, I'm considering the wilderness bow hunt instead of the ranch hunt. I've got 7 or 8 points now.

Man that's awesome! Congrats! I've got a group of guys meeting this week to start planning our first elk hunt. I can't wait!

great mass, gz on a wonderful bull! I'm sitting on 9 points for Wyoming... may be time to cash them in soon. Thier website didn't have prices, would you mind sharing the cost of the hunt?
