I saw NONE at Jackson Island today. Had a pair of geese go over high toward Unicoi, but that was it. I walked the river near the road back down to Jackson Bridge and jumped a GB Heron and a bittern. Pretty pathetic day. Boat is tore up so couldnt go to the lake. Hope someone got into the birds today.

The kid and I shot a few, thanks to our "expert" guide..."Grumpy".
In the pic., Grumpy is the old one with the uncharacteristic smile. Personality, aside...thank goodness he wears Tndeer's Stinky Not...LOL.

I floated that section 3 or four times in the last couple of months and haven't seen a dozen woodducks yet. You would think with all the cornfields on that stretch of the river that there would be a few in there.
