Winter crappie

Caught a limit on old hickoy today. With one being a 16"er. All caught on jigs n 22-24'.

I've never been fishing in the winter. I wouldn't even know what to do. But that picture makes me want to give it a whirl!

Winter is my favorite time to fish. Bar none. Everybody thinks that the fish are super slow and you gotta sit there and not move the jig at all. That's really not the case when you find a big school of crappie. They stack up big in the winter and when you find them, you can pretty much find them not far from the same location, and catch the dog out of 'em.
