It was super windy, but I headed out for a couple hours anyway. I walked into the woodlot and had a couple greys run in front of me without being able to get a shot. I worked my way around a small ridge and caught movement. I eased around and saw two greys chasing each other. Neither one would stop long enough to get a shot. Finally, one stopped on the side of the tree and I dropped him. The other jumped on another tree and looking around long enough to send a CCI through his chest.
As I went to pick those two up, the third jumped on a tree almost directly above me. He went out on a limb and I popped him.
I moved to another spot and put the squirrels on a meat stick. I looked up and saw the fox squirrel. I couldn't get a shot as he was running directly at me. He finally stopped about 10 feet front me (he was blurry in my scope) and I let him have it. I headed back early due to the wind.
I'm pretty sure this is the first squirrel I've shot with a nut in his mouth.
