Windy in East Tn. Any luck?

It is extremely windy here in east tn and the temperature is dropping. Just curious who all hunts when it is real windy out and if anybody has had any luck hunting extremely windy days?

I hardly ever see deer when it is real windy out, the few times I have, they have been skiddish. I like to hear how others fair on days with high winds.

High winds are good for stillhunting. But I have had limited success while hunting in them.

Windy as heck in middle TN. I hunted over a field and left when it started raining again. I can look outside and usually see a few deer early and late inside the house. Nothing was moving.

I like to Stillhunt in this kind of wind but rarely set a stand when its blowing this hard!

I stayed home today. i may try it tomorrow afternoon.

I still hunted with no luck. i saw 4 in a cut corn field at about 1:30 on the way to my spot. I did se about 30 turkey, but they do'nt count yet :grin: I did sit in my stand for about 10 minutes and then got down, way to windy. Pulled the cards out of my cameras, very little movement in the last week or so.

My favorite times to hunt are windy days like today in a field. High winds takes away their scenses and fields are the only place theyl feed cause then they can at least see some movment in open terrain. Thats the only weather conditions I will sit in a stand all day long and wudv today but the railroad told me no so im stuck driving trains.
