Today was windy for sure and from what I've read on here only a few people saw deer.

So tomorrow is supposed to be extremely cold and still pretty windy.

I can't hunt in the afternoon (wife has to do something between 2-3:30), so I am kicking around the idea of getting in the stand around 9 AM and sitting till about 1 pm. Then I am going back for the last hour of light.

I'm just wondering should I wait till 9 or just go in at daylight?

Wind chill will have it around 9 degrees.

I saw deer. I try to hunt fields when its windy. Deer come out of the woods sometimes cause its so noisy from the wind.

When the bucks want to get laid the wind nor the temps matter! Get in the woods.

I know that but I think the afternoon will be better. due to an agreement with the wife if I go in at daylight and come out around 10 (I won't last much longer) that is it for the day. Since she has to do something I worked it where if I let her sleep a little I can go back for yet last hour of daylight.

Of course now I'm wondering if I should go in the AM and say the heck with the PM?

Just depends on how the deer in your area move. Just because the come through your hunting grounds in the AM doesn't mean they use the same way back in the PM. And same with the PM just because they come through the area in the PM it doesn't mean they walk through it in the AM. So if they move through your hunting area in the AM then go then if they move through your area in the PM go then.

The wind sure had deer movement subdued around my place this morning. I heard shots from about 3 different locations up to about 8:00 and then that was it. I saw a spike at 7:04 and then a doe crossing the field as I walked out a little after 9:00. I would have tried her but she was something like 400 yards away and I had nothing whatsoever to use for a rest. With my past luck hunting in wind, I didn't even bother to hunt this afternoon. Going to give it another go Monday though!
