wind information?

What is the best website for looking at future wind directions. I try to plan my hunts a week or so in advance and wondered what the best source would be to use. Where I hunt I need a nw or west wind.

I was cussing scoutlook hunting weather for their recent changes they made to their app but I kept playing with it and like it. I love the hourly scent cone that points the wind direction for each hour up to 72hrs in advance.

I use the weatherundeground app. Has hour by hour wind data for full forecast period.

In Middle TN I like the Nashville airport aviation website. Seems to be pretty accurate on both direction and wind speed. But temp will be higher since it's taken at airport and not in rural areas.

The places I hunt seem to always defy the predicted winds. Hills, valleys, saddles, thermals, etc can play havoc with wind directions.

It is very tough to know a week in advance what direction the wind will blow. they usually continue to change it up to 24 hours before... Weather.com. accuweather, or any of these apps will tell you wind direction and usually speed.

But like Hunttherut said, you get in some areas and the geography, can change the wind direction.

I check like 4 different apps. They're normally not correct either. The best thing to go by is to know your property and how the wind blows based on certain weather conditions.

I love this app. Has range finder, wind direction, weather, satellite views, you can mark your stand locations, etc.
