I bought a box of Winchester Deer Season XP (Extreme Point) ammo last year at the end of the season without paying attention (I normally buy PowerPoint). Does anyone have any experience with these?

I got some last year but having got a chance to use it but I seen a segment on growing deer tv and the impact they showed from skinning the animal was devastating!

My experience wasn't so great. Me and my buddy used it last year. He shot a buck behind the shoulder last year. Fell on its face. Thought it was done then it got up and ran off no blood trail. I shot a doe with a 7mm at 75 yards with it. It ran about 100 yards no blood trail. I luckily heard her crash and knew where to go. The internal damage was devastating but it didn't bleed a drop. They grouped well but after that I won't use them again. I went back to power points. Just my opinion

My uncle shot 2 with them last year with a 243Win. One dropped where it stood and the other ran about 50-75 yards and left a good blood trail. Both exits were about the size of a quarter.

I shot a good 10point two years ago shoulder he ran 40 yards and flipped .got a doe quarting away last year no blood ran 100 yards. 308 win neither shot passed through

I've killed a few deer with them, all shots from a 30-06 from 50-125 yards. No pass throughs, bullets broke apart, all deer ran 50-100 yards, minimal blood trail. Not my favorite round.

Sounds similar to powerbelt muzzleloader bullets. The bullets stay inside and do lots of damage but no exit wound and no blood trail. I'll pass.
