I've done taxidermy full time for 25 years, but retired from it other than my own mounts and an occasional one for family, and was pretty dang good at it.
I killed this buck 4-5 years ago and tanned the cape to mount and never got around to doing it. I just never had the time and doing my own just didn't take priority over other things I needed to be doing…farm, work, etc.
I decided to take it to Nathan Wilson at Wilson's and let him work his magic on it. It's not finished in the pic, but I'm loving the way it has turned out so far. You can't beat Wilson's.
