Will FSU opt out of the Orange Bowl?

$ wins every time.
Hopefully both coaches were just busy recruiting and felt that a second press conference was just redundant but there is certainly plenty of buzz swirling about that FSU is considering a boycott.

They had a long zoom presser on Monday filled with the typical we are both excited to be part of the Orange Bowl blah blah blah.

It doesn't matter to me if they play or not. Both teams are already not the same teams that played last weekend thanks to the portal and opt outs. It will only get worse going forward.

They have enough $. I'd tell the selection committee to "kiss ol' rose". There is a clear bias to SEC and Big 10 annually.

Why does anyone still think that bowl games matter (outside of the playoffs)? Except on very rare occasions they never did…to the coaches, players or teams as a whole.

Been saying this for years.

Ur going to have people say it's because it's the last time some of the kids will ever get a chance to play. People will say it's also a chance for coaches to get some reps in for next season and play some players that have been riding the pine. Others will say its about the money it brings .

Honestly these bowl games have gotten so watered down they get down to a participation trophy for just about everyone outside the top 4.

Jimmy Kimmel Bowl? Give me a break.

I sure hope they do. Ncaa needs a message. Its the most corrupt professional sports organization there is, and that is .saying something
Its going to leave a incredible black mark on the program if they do. The Money its going to cost everyone involved. The ACC, The City of Miami and its host the Orange Bowl. Can you imagine how its going to sit with recruits knowing you sat around and pouted , whined and cried about being left out of a invitation? Because that is exactly what it is a invitation.

They may not opt out of the Orange Bowl but they are going to be carved down worse than the Christmas Turkey come game time as far as personel is concerned.
Do they get the same money if they show up and play the first string or play the practice squad? If so 2 ways to look at it, 1) Play starters, try to win to show how it was a bad decision by sec or 2) The first play on O and on D, put in the starters. After that play, call TO and replace all the starters with scrubs. Now, they won't do it because a lot of players are looking to make draft status upgrades but it would make a statement....
